I've appreciated reading and posting on Beech Talk since early 2010 when I bought a lovely 1967 V35. We are based in Princeton, NJ and fly mostly around New England and in the mid Atlantic. I've learned a lot about how better to fly my V35 by reading the many, great posts on BT, especially engine management and landing techniques. It is fantastic to have such a great support group for an outstanding line of planes. I fit a suspect stereotype, a doctor with a V Tail.

I've been flying for 4 years, first with my PPL and then 3 years with my IFR rating. I like flying in clouds and at night, but not both at the same time if I can help it. I flew an Archer for 3 years before selling it and moving up to the Bonanza, for extra speed, range, and load capacity. The avionics are up to date (530W among others), and I replaced the run out IO520 with a RAM IO550 overhauled engine. The interior is vintage tan and brown leather which needs TLC. I am looking forward to many years in this plane.

Welcome aboard Don. I had a V35 for four years. Loved and still miss it. Flew it night, day, IFR, to the Bahamas and over the Rockies. Maintain her well and she'll take care of you. Post a panel pic.

thanks all.

I think we'll hold on the panel pic for a little. It has every toy known created over the last 20 years or so, but it's a tad jumbled. Lots of buttons and knobs though. I'm still deciding what to keep, what to ditch, and what to replace.

Good question about the prop. The previous owner, who loved this plane, lost his medical, which necessitated the sale. He had upgraded about 4 years ago to the Hartzell scimitar, and I understand he actually stripped the paint. The prop makes a good visual, but it does take some cleaning and waxing to keep it looking good. I've read some debate on BT about FSDO's which have declared the propeller non grata. No problem here so far. The aft side is painted, so no glare issues for the pilot.
