Looks like a grate site, wish I would have found earlier, but I’m not a computer guy. I got my PPL in 2006 and my IFR in 2009. I’ve hade my 1976 A36 for 2 years and love it. She’s going in for annual next month and 550 upgrade. I’ve been thinking of attending the BPPP in Fresno in October. Anybody in the area with Garmin 530 expertise want to shoot some approaches? It’s a new box for me.

Welcome to BT. If you have a computer available, Garmin has a computerized version of the 430/530 that you can use to practice at home. If all else fails, do read the manual.

Mike, I'm a new a36 owner at kcma, and know the 430 and 530 boxes pretty well. Feel free to check with me anytime. I am also registered for the BPPP program in Fresno. John
