Let me start with a big thank you to all that participate on this site, The information gained on here by just reading is friggin awsome.
I have been a lurker for the last couple months reading all I can about these wonderful planes. I am just a few weeks away from my check ride to get my PPL. I started this quest on May 1st and all has been going well. I have a friend with an A36 so I already know that I must own one (in the market as I type) as I will travel with 4 peeps quite often. My mission for now will be a short one from F70 - KHII. I will make this run 2-3 times per month. When I aquire my own plane I will be based out of F70 which is 15 minutes from my home. Knowing from the start that the A36 is what I will own I have been doing all of my training in a B-33 Debonair and I will take my check ride in that.
Last weekend was my solo x-country and it was over 300nm round trip that went very smooth, I had a huge smile on my face they entire time.
Again many thanks for this very educational site and all that take the time to post here. I will post my progress and pictures when I actualy own something to post pictures of.

Welcome Pat. I keep my A36 just down the road at Fallbrook. French Valley is a great airport to be based at with no marine layer and a very nice runway.

What a great way to train (in a Debonair)! And, what a great first airplane to own (an A36)!

Caution: for at least a couple hundred hours and until you have an instrument rating, be really really really careful (and conservative) about picking which days to invite 3 or 4 others into the A36 to go cross country.
