Aircraft: King Air 200
Hi everyone!
Let me introduce myself briefly. I am from Sweden and have flown King Airs (90, 200, and 1900) for thousands of hours, both in the US and Africa/Middle East, working for the UN many years ago. I held a Part 145 for a while and had some work done on the -200s. I have been involved in training my entire career—everything from King Air and Boeing 737 to helicopters.

About six years ago, I started a company where we develop digital training materials, mostly technical courses for various aircraft. I quit flying commercially four years ago (left the airline flying) and now work full-time developing training materials and aids. Personally, I really love the King Airs, and through my work have learned a lot about the different variants and types—and it’s a continuing story. I visit maintenance shops a few times every month, working with engineers and customers.

So, anyway, here I am, joining this fabulous group of Beech enthusiasts!

Welcome! Your post brought back fond memories of trips to Stockholm back in the ‘90s. :pilot: I was still reasonably new to flying to Europe, but thought Sweden was quite different. The drive to the hotel looked more like New England than other places in Europe. There seemed to be a culture of old car enthusiasts restoring American cars. I was restoring one myself at the time. :peace: I was there on the longest day as well as the shortest day of the year.

I hit the chocks in Chicago one January afternoon after a crossing and reached up to kill the cargo heat switches, as per securing checklist, and found them already off. :bugeye: Did we fly the whole leg with the cargo heat off? Maybe the third guy thought he was doing me a favor by turning them off. Anyway, I waited until the others were gone and fished through the trash for the closeout info to see if we had (had) any live animals on board. :cross: Fortunately no, but I imagined frozen luggage. The women there were beautiful. I have only been married 48 years but, if it doesn’t work out, I am heading straight to Sweden!
