Hi, everyone!
We are The Plane Salon, an airplane Paint, Upholstery, Maintenance and Avionics facility located in Southern California at Compton Woodley Airport. We rebuild aircraft brought to us in many shapes, ranging from aircraft that have been sitting a very long time, to simply adding a USB receptacle and everything in between.
Two of our mechanics are Bonanza owners, with one owning a Debonair, and another one owning an A36. The rest of us fly different things: I fly Robinson helicopters, one of our painters who's painted over 3000 aircraft grew up on tail draggers, another one in our crew is a 30 year Mooney owner, another mechanic owns a Piper Comanche 250, and the rest are either working on their license or...talking about it! Our 45 year upholstery artisan refuses to fly - so we happily give him an exemption.
