Bob, I don't think so on the CG.

Rocky, I used to keep my Lyc O-360 Swift there at Newnan. We lived in downtown ATL (Grant Park). I remember seeing the twin Bo. Nice.
Bob, I've always liked the J model Mooneys too and read all the Mod squad stuff out of Venice, FL in the late 90s while I was flying a Luscombe. But I must confess that if I found I had a year to live, I'd be jumping in a Bo. (knowing I wouldn't be around to pay the bills)
The cautions I get from those who have been in aviation a long time are essentially that Bonanzas can be money pits. That would not be sustainable for me. But I imagine new owners work through the squawks after 2-3 annuals, and then it's planned and manageable.
We've done our homework here to get a good insurance quote from Falcon and $100/month hangar space. There are a few H-K35s out there that are a real good value and provide tremendous utility compared to the Swift. But I also know I have the opportunity to give back to the Swift community as some of the founding, senior pilots and mechanics fly west. The next generation's got to take the reins. But there are few.
There's nothing like this forum out there. That's a HUGE plus for Bonanzas. Thank you!
