Hi, I'm Bob and I come here from the dark side. I currently fly a Mooney M20J based at S50 in Auburn, WA. I come here mainly for two reasons.
1. Every now and then someone on Mooneyspace will reference something they heard or learned on this forum so I view it as a place for good general aviation information.
2. Awhile ago my wife screwed up and said that once we get a bit more money, we need a bigger airplane. Each of our daughters has two kids and no matter how much I might try, I cannot fit 6 people into the Mooney. Among the planes I'm considering are the Baron 58 and the 58P. The others would be the Aerostar 700P, Cessna 310Q, and Cessna 340A.
I'll lurk here for awhile and read the existing threads to see what I can learn about the Baron and aviation in general.
Thanks for letting me join.

If you own an airplane, fly an airplane or just look at them and drool, you are a brother and welcome here.

Funny Sean, funny. And so true ( the V tail part and any plane is a good plane!) Welcome aboard Bob!

Bob Patch Welcome! You wouldn't be the first to go from a J to a Twin Bonanza - don't overlook them! The TBone fits our needs perfectly, and our story sounds like yours. Thanks to all for the welcome.
Vince, the things about the 58 and 58P that caught my attention were the ease of loading the back seat passengers and the potential to have a useful load to allow 1200 lbs of people and bags and fly 400 nm with reserves.

I joined recently so I can learn more about those silly V-Tails. I have a M20B currently but always gravitate to Bonanza's. Thanks. Troy

Welcome, Sir, and Sean said- Quote: Further, we (V-tail owners/pilots) are superior to every other Beech owner and all other pilots/owners/everything. Like, DUH. Of COURSE we are. What the hell else would you think? (Barons are ok too I guess...)
