Hi Everyone,
I have been reading is seems like just about everything on this forum for the past year or so - but this is my first post. I am a new Pilot - about 160 hours - hoping to finish my instrument rating soon. I purchased a beautiful 1965 Bonanza S35 from Vince and Jeff (both BeechTalk members) with another person. They did an incredible job taking a classic and updating it to something to be proud of. Because of my low time - I will take my time before taking this airplane up solo. I am very lucky to be partnered with a 1500 hour pilot and have an instructor that has a fleet of aircraft including a C172, Barron, MU2, C-441,Citation 2, and a few others. I take the opportunity to fly with him on trips when possible to get experience in all of these aircraft. This is an amazing forum with a collection of knowledge and experience second to none.
Chuck

Congratulations Chuck. You'll love your "S" model. (I might be a little biased ) Welcome!

Hi Chuck, welcome aboard! Sounds like you have a good mentor pilot too!

I know how the people on this site love pictures - but since there are so many good pictures already out there - I just did not think it was necessary. I need to save them all in my photo collection and start adding new ones. Vincent and Jeff did such a good job with this plane - I feel lucky to have it. We flew to KSCD yesterday to pick up a tug to move this bird - I honestly cannot imagine any better value aircraft out there (155-160kts at 11.5 to 12.5 GPH) - I see why everyone loves the Bonanza.

Chuck, I have also recently purchased my first Bonanza (an A36TC in my case). I can't say enough about the BPPP program (online + flight). The online portion will cover all the systems to the level that you will feel comfortable with the procedures even without flying. The flight portion is truly invaluable - you will see maneuvers demonstrated (and you will do them yourself) that you might otherwise never see. Do this - period! As soon as possible.
