Aircraft: Shopping for one

Hello All!
Ok, I think this is the best place to introduce myself. I am now looking into a Bonanza because the purchase prices are becoming more attractive, the cost of owning one doesn't scare me as much as it used to, and I am not getting any younger. I will place the details of what I am looking for on the Single Engine forum.
I am a career aircraft engineer with my first four years spent as a design engineer for Beech Aircraft. I was an active member of the Beech employees flying club from 1979-1982 and built up about 25 or so hours in the F33 series mostly for instrument rating flight instruction (I did not get the rating because of a change in my personal life). After leaving Beech, I joined the FAA as an aircraft certification engineer with now 32 years of experience to date (I am also a regional representative for our union, NATCA, since 2000). I have not done much flying recently because of retina detachment and cataract surgeries in the right eye during 2011 (FAA cleared me for a 3rd class medical thanks to my aero medical examiners at the MAYO Clinic). My last flying was for my (Biennual) flight review last year at the Sonex factory in Oshkosh (my review was in the 2 place Sonex kitplane). I am currently 59 years old with about 520 hours.
I figured that my search will be a long one, maybe a year or two.
That is it in a nutshell!
