Hey folks! New member from upstate New York. I currently belong to a club in Albany and am working on an instrument rating. I'm hoping to be an owner or partial owner in the not too distant future and came here to do some research on f33s, a36s and perhaps the v35s. Looking forward to learning all I can about the various models pitfalls and operating costs.
Rick

Thanks for the welcomes! I'm in Upper15. Hope your vtail wasn't having too many problems..(over with Jamie is what I assume you mean) That's actually one of my major concerns with older airframes. I'm not a mechanic, and some level of tinkering is ok, but generally I want things to work

Also have a Citabria with floats that we put metal spars in. That spent the winter in my hangar in Saratoga. Meant to get some work done on mine in a nice clean heated hangar, but mostly went flying when I got down there instead.

Hi Rick - Welcome ! I flew out of 4B0 (slightly south of KALB) and started our company across the river. If you aren't already familiar with http://www.voiceflight.com, you might find it interesting as a local company. Best regards, Scott.

Interesting indeed! I'd love to come by some time and check you guys out. Avionics systems are an area of interest for me.
