I have been reading this site for a while and would like to get started on finding the right people to talk to. I am Jon Meyer from Bardstown KY and would like to buy a late 70's 58. I will keep it at KBRY and need some help finding someone who could do an inspection and possibly the continual maintenance. Any reputable contacts close by?? I have been working with a broker, but I would like a beech guy to help me.

I have thoroughly enjoyed your forum and have taken a ton of good info. Now if I could just talk to someone who knows, owns, and flies a 58 I would be greatful to you all.

Welcome aboard Jon.
Myself, I am not familiar with that period though.

Jon,

Welcome to BT. In the red menu bar across the top is a link for mentors. Search there for a Baron owner in your area. They will likely be able to get you rolling.
In terms of a broker, consider dealing with one who knows Beech products very well. Such as Neal S. and Randy A. Both are on BT a fair amount. Just search for a thread on brokers.

Thanks for your information. I emailed a mentor name I recognized. Does anyone know a good beech mechanic in the Louisville/Elizabethtown area?

Jon

Jon welcome aboard. I am in my 23rd year of Baron ownership and have a 58 now. I has a 55 for almost 19 years so I do understand the differences. I think the 58 is great. I can't help you much with local help down your way but feel free to PM me on 58 advise. Lots of other guys on board who know lots more than I do. Don Lawrenz is right at the top. Look for his posts and read them. Good luck in your search for a nice 58. They are out there
