Mr. Howard....... make sure Pete makes it to Knoxville on the 26th of October.....you will not regret it. Also, good call on the "pals before gals" name on your bird.....that E series will not let you down.

I'm close enough that Tullahoma would be a great initial cross country - but it's all based on if I feel I'm ready. I should be through the insurance minimum hours by then, but I do want a few solo hours here in central Arkansas (an area I know well) first. This weekend, I'm hoping to finally sit down an talk with another E-Series owner. If he is going, I'll try to hitch a ride if I'm not ready myself. I already know more about my 35 than any of the other aircraft I've flown - but wow, do I have a lot more to learn...

Brian, I felt the same way when I first owned my Bo. I am fortunate to be surrounded by professional and general aviation pilots with lots of experience, ratings and good cheer. I was and still am always asking around if they want to come and fly with me. There is flying with an instructor and there there is flying with a buddy who is also a pilot. It's quite different. I encourage you to find some pilots who can fly with you. Even in our company jet,we have mentor pilots.... This is for guys with ATP ratings! Have fun with your new Bo. Develop a curriculum for yourself, even after you have "qualified". First solo night, first cross wind over 12 knots, first VFR on top, first 2 hr cross-country trip then 3, etc. fly to as many different new airports as possible. Even with all our modern tools, it's still a thrill to "find" that field you were aiming for. First flight through class B, etc etc.,
