I'm flying a MU2 Solitaire and a C425 Conquest that have the same problem. Both aircraft have remote transponders and no panel space to mount new ones. I know we can install a Garmin 650/750 and control remote transponders but does anyone have a better/cheaper solution?

Robert, I thought you may be interested in this Avidyne IFD550 I installed in an MU-2. It went in with an Avidyne Audio Panel and MFD to handle the radar as well as a remote transponder. He already had active traffic and liked XM weather better than ADS-B so we added an GDL-69A for weather and music. Along with customizing the center panel and cleaning up the pilot panel, LED lights, etc, everything came out working nicely. It could just as easily be installed with the Avidyne remote transponder and ADS-B receiver. I'd be glad to talk to you about upgrading yuour birds if you want to give me a call.

Hello Robert. I sent you a PM. I think we have a lower cost solution that will work for you.
