Aerospace Logic in Ontario, Canada, who makes all kinds of instruments etc, appears to be out of business.

I ordered and paid for an item in mid January........

Never received it........

No replies of at least 15 emails.........

Does not answer telephone during normal business hours.........

Does not return voice messages left........

Been trying for months now..........
=============================================

So I assume I am out of luck?

Anyone have any info on this development ?

...Kurt

I cannot comment on whether they are out of business. My past experience with them is that they are not particularly responsive to e-mails or phone calls. You might consider sending the owner, Shane Goedvolk, a PM since he is a BeechTalk member.

They aren't out of business. I ordered a harness last October for a fuel gauge I have. Same deal. I paid, they didn't ship. Didn't return calls, emails, texts, smoke signals, nothing.

But, when I filed a paypal dispute two months later, instantly they were really communicative.

I had the harness three days later....

Via the paypal dispute, they swore up and down that they answer and return every phone call and every email. They must have different emails and phone numbers than the ones I've been able to get. I thought I had Shane's email, but well.... Yeah.

They have excellent products, but for the life of me I have no idea how they stay in business....

Upgraded a voltmeter and was to get a rebate. Called for months and never got a return call or the money. Like the meter

I talked to Shane last week. Alive and well, probably just busy.

That is one of the great things about BT. How else would a prospective buyer find out they are that unresponsive and uncommunicative?

I am going to upgrade the C-180 gauges, and AL was my first choice.

Not a chance in hell I'm buying from them now.

I had a great experience with the company last fall including expedited shipping. No issues getting in contact during and post install to get answers to questions.

Well, you've cracked the code.

I am in the middle of a panel redo. I have an electronic monitor, but I'd buy several AL gauges for backup purposes. The wiring harness was a test for me.... Needless to say it didn't go so well.

there was probably $3k in new business awaiting them once I got my harness. I still have the $3k. Shane doesn't have it. I really wanted some redundancy with oil pressure, tach and rpm gauges. I also was going to splurge on a completely unnecessary digital clock, OAT combo gauge he had that was super cool and way overpriced but I was going to buy it anyhow....

Now? Nope.

Hmmm... Hope he's OK (and everyone gets their product, etc). Sure seems like a good guy from my experience.

I am very pleased with my Aerospace Logics gauges. I found Shane helpful and responsive during my installation. The company worked well with my installation shop, Aerodyne in Hampton Roads, Va.

They are the only ones who make a combination Fuel Pressure/Manifold Pressure gauge so I don't have much choice.

They can customize it with almost anything. The EI products are pretty modular.

Derek,

I will call them and see what they say. I was hoping to replace just the existing gauge without a major undertaking. I already have an FS450 and an EDM 700 and yes, I know I could replace all that stuff but that is beyond the scope of what I am thinking about.

Thanks,

Phil

P.S.

Here is a picture of the right side of the panel...(before the upgrade)

And here is a picture of the redone panel - you can see the challenge:
