I've been reading the forums for the last few days and have learned a lot (and I've realized how much I don't know being that I've been out of flying for almost 20 years).

Those of you who fly Bonanza's and know a thing or two about them, let me ask you a question - why didn't Beech ever produce a pressurized Bonanza? If they did, would you buy one? Seems sad to me that those that want to move "up" to pressurized cabins, can't do so in a Bonanza. I say sad because otherwise it seems like the perfect single engine aircraft.

They almost did - the "Lightning," a P-Baron with a PT-6 on the front. Canceled for lack of guts.

Yep, Spike's right. At the risk of offending some the TC Bo's just weren't that successful. Pressurization would add weight and substantial cost for what benefit?

Now hanging a jet engine on the bird is a different story, but just not that efficient. I'll suffer through the hose up the nose for a couple of hours and save a Million bucks.
