It also appears as if Joseph Orlando is the same. I could be wrong, but he is brand new and has zero posts and his message just seems similar to the Nigerian prince who has $5 Million he needs to send to me. In regards to my WTB post it reads: “Hi, Emailing about your request. Please contact Dave on daveorl570@gmail.com regarding your request. Fast shipping and trusted. He is located in the USA and can arrange shipping.”

I received a private message yesterday from Joseph Orlando about an ad I placed in the WTB section looking for a GEM for a 4 cylinder twin with turbos. He sent a private message with the same email address as he sent to StewartPearcy (the post above) and wanted me to reply via email to daveorl570@gmail.comThank you BT ADMIN for keeping these scammers out of here. My only request and wish is that we could talk these scammers into meeting me and my brothers somewhere because then the rest of the world wouldn’t have to worry about them any longer. Here in Alabama we have our own special way of dealing with these scumbags that try to scam people.

Also watch for grammar that is off by filling in blanks and “what is your last price?” I think like all of aviation, the Nigerian scammers that work the aviation sites is a very small group. I advertise a lot on line and have had many attempts. I started playing along and leading them on to mail me fake cashiers checks. They usually overnight them then contact me next day. I lead them on to send another to a friends address because I accidentally gave them the wrong address. My record is three checks and the guy finally broke down and tried to make me feel bad because the fake checks cost him $100. each. For some reason I am not approached very often anymore and when I do, it ends when I give them my name and address. Along the same lines, I read of a guy who sent a telephone directory (remember them?) to the UK with the full declared value of the laptop he was in the process of being scammed out of. Not only did the scammer have to pay shipping, added UK VAT and import duties....
