"I'm sure a Few Folks would prefer that I disappear " Sid Maybe, but none of them post here. Unwritten last paragraph of the terms of service states: "Anyone attempting to dampen Sidney's enthusiasm, question his camaraderie, impugn his sincerity or demean him in any way whatsoever will be permanently expelled from this forum."

The coronavirus is inevitably political <...> I disagree with that statement. Coronavirus is a virus. It has no political affiliation. Sure there are public policy aspects to it, but there are with everything in life. Just be aware of your lens and those of others and don't give into the trolls. https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/295711 ... we-see-theIt does however have an ENORMOUS impact on aviation. As it stands now I have no plans to fly anywhere this year precisely because of COVID-19. Camguard it is..

Ray, just goes to show "different strokes". I envision flying my own plane more than ever as I need to get around and have a magnified repulsion to flying commercial at this point. Now I can fly myself on very cheap fuel and avoid the big crowd scene airports.
Be well, stay safe Sir!

My missions are family vacations and/or visiting family - but those family are in the Detroit area and/or travel themselves to get to vacation spots. Needless to say, those are all optional pleasure missions for us that just increase our risk profile and the odds of potentially being a spreader to others. Having friends in the healthcare field, the last thing they need is more patients right now. Plus there are those dual "stay at home" orders in my county and state.. I don't want to be one of those hooligan troublemakers

Every time they "sanitize", this happens. When it gets to page 12, I think it will stop. Meanwhile you can re-read Sidney's quoted post, every time there is a new post in the thread!

Whoa, deja vu all over again.
Sounds creepily like the Matrix.

Jeffs' As a relatively new pilot and member of Beechtalk, I just want to say thank you for providing a forum where a pilot can meet new like minded people with an depth of knowledge about GA that is second to none. Beechtalk has been a great wealth of information for me. I value differing opinions especially when the debate is carried in a constructive tone, an art the seems to have been lost in recent years. This collective body of knowledge has been so supportive when I ask for information or support! We all recognize we cannot and likely should not control the actions of others, but what we can do is choose who we respond to and how. I applaud your desire to continually improve Beechtalk, something that will alway be foundational to greatness.

Maybe it’s just me but I feel the BT community began to take on a more negative tone after that feature was introduced. Positive -or-negative, doesn't really matter, but I agree it doesn't seem to me like it should be a part of this board. Maybe it should be a +1 statement, which would connote agreement rather than popularity? In terms of what The Jeffs articulated at the top of this thread as a vision re-statement, I agree and to whatever extent it applies, behavior mod accepted. Thanks.
