Jeff and Jeff, Thanks for all you have done through the years for Beechtalk. I am officially member #55 but joined the first day. Then you announced we had to use our real names to keep everyone honest so I dropped off. I debated a couple of days if I wanted my real name out on a forum before I re-signed up. (I was "Ladybird" forever on other boards!) Growing up in a Beech family I have made so many friends here, from the Tullahoma meet-ups to Oklahoma City for BBQ and high altitude training. My husband was quite uncomfortable 15+ years ago when I said I was flying down to Ok City to meet guys from the internet . Some of you have even come to my rescue at various places around the country! Big thank you Jeff and Jeff! Jeanné

This feels almost like an obituary. But it is not, of course it is a triumph of success. Having met you both 10+ years ago, I appreciate your humble nature despite your hero status among most of us. Little known fact and probably a secret let out of the bag. The great man Deakin said to me once when visiting him at home in Camarillo, he truly admired you guys for what you did and who you are. If only he was here now to post a comment, it would likely be funny as hell and as warm and sincere as one of his big bear hugs. So just imagine that if you will. For me, wow..... I joined up to learn from what my mates Chuck (Charles Perry) and Forkie (Lee Fitzpatrick) were talking about. I had learned so much from them over time and then this thing happened. I am member 4011. Out of that first 5000 even, of now 85,000. Geez, I was a newbie, yet it felt like I walked into a wise university of hundreds or thousands of years of educational experience. Some not aviation either. Humour me for a while, if you will, or scroll past, but this is going to take a while to describe the impact that many of y'all, but most certainly a few on the first page have had on some 42 year old (then, 56 now) from the other side of the earth. For a start with you two Jeff's BT may not be here, and nobody would be reading this now. So the first four members, are mostly to blame for two of the bigger moments of my life outside of immediate family, and one of the four became as good as family. I often talk to people I meet and explain I do not understand why or how I have been so privileged to deserve the honour of meeting, working with, become friends with so many people in the aviation and shooting/firearms industries. These are the finest people on earth. The most honest, caring, giving and trustworthy friends I have. John Deakin is an easy pick a the top of that member list and for getting me involved with the APS class with George and Walter, but if it were not for the next guy Gresham, my journey into the firearms advocacy world at a high level in Australia would never have happened. I doubt these guys understand how I feel about this. My semi retirement business, involved mainly with DYNON Avionics where CEO's are friends, Aerox Oxygen where the owner is now a mate, all of my day to day life now has spurned from the connections and friends in aviation. As for shooting industry stuff, and Tom will get a giggle if he reads this, but if not for his influence, my good friend Rob Nioa who now owns Barrett Firearms would not even be known by me. Getting involved with Rob and working with him down here on issues in the shooting industry, has also yielded many great friendships and changed my life and Leisa's also. And then there are dozens of BT members who we travel with, either there mostly or here in Australia. It is amazing. Surreal is an understatement. As recently as this morning, I had a couple of hours helping Vladimir and Amy Lange planning a big trip around Australia. Hopefully some flying to the outback when they visit. BT is a gift that keeps on giving and so far it has been all good. So good I couldn't afford to pay for it And then there is the wider BT community, many fine folk I have met along the way at Oshkosh, during APS classes both there and here, and even a few friends down under that you bump into. What a ride so far. I bet you had no idea what you started guys, and I could go on for hours, but this union of friends far and wide has had great outcomes beyond your wildest dreams and without doubt my story is but one of thousands. Thank you everyone for making what Jeff x 2 such a success.
