There is a very significant discount offered for 2 or more types at the same time, plus it would be fun to do it with another pilot.

Plan on opening up 10 days in your schedule next month.

anyone interested?

I did a flight from Atlanta to Houston last week and spent about the same amount of money in fuel as I would have in my Baron. Except I was at FL410 doing over 300 knots.

All of it is in the aircraft. About 20 hours of flight time including the checkride.

It looks like with 2 pilots, we should be able to get the total cost will be around $16,000 each including fuel, the hourly fee for the engines' maintenance program, etc.

BTW, for those who can't make out the picture, that is 310KTAS on 310PPH (or ~46GPH) at FL410.

Even if you don't think you would be interested in owning one, logging 20+ hours in a jet and adding a type rating (and possibly ATP) to your license will be a blast! :D

OK thats me leaving San Juan in an Eclipse Jet about 2 or so years ago.
At the time I was working for a guy that had a BE 58, A 36 and had ordered and eventually received two Eclipse jets. I flew and managed the Eclipses till I got tired of broken promises, unpaid obligations, unmet promises, and unrealized dreams.
I have now moved to flying a BE 58 for a company that cares-that is vastly superior to an airplane that is pressurized.
While not claiming to be an expert by any stretch, I have a lot of Beechcraft time, even worked at a Beech dealer when there was such a thing. I also taught, for a while, a Beechcraft transition school for a well known aircraft sales business.
I also have the distinction of having driven a 917K Porsche, but I really am a pretty dull person.

Mmmm I love the Eclipse. But I'll stick to the right seat of my friend's, paying $0/hour, for now.
