I subscribe to a wonderful email newsletter called "This is True" written by Randy Cassingham. It is one of the longest-running, best-written, most entertaining, free email newsletters ever. On a weekly basis it is chock full of nutty things one or more humanoids did, and never ceases to amaze.

I'm writing about it here because, unfortunately, Yahoo is killing it because some of their users don't know how to use an "unsubscribe" link and instead marked it as spam. Randy is one of the foremost authorities on spam (or I should say "anti-spam") so it's terribly ironic that this is happening to him. Hell, he's the one that wrote The Spam Primer for goodness sake!

Anyway, I'm writing here to help save the newsletter. I can absolutely vouch for its quality and the vigor with which the author will protect your privacy. You can subscribe to it at this address:

I include here a link to the latest issue describing the problem in detail, and including a sample of the kinds of stories in the letter. Randy, I wish you continued success and hope this helps in some small way.

That's the thing, he's already somewhere else and always has been. But a large portion of his subscriber base have yahoo addresses and can no longer get the newsletter, effectively killing the ad and subscription revenues that allow it to run. It's a complete mess, but I agree, to hell with Yahoo.
